One of the oft-repeated arguments between Democrats and Republicans in Washington is the size and scope of government. Obscure bureaucracies often find themselves in the crosshairs of such debates about relevance and scarcity of funds. However, even the view of limited government still accepts the existence of bureaucratic control and occasional regulation.
